GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION IN BRIDGEFEST 2016
BridgeFest 2016 will be a series of events presented by local venues and promoters that celebrate folk and or jazz music and the musical heritage of Newport. Participating events will be listed on the BridgeFest website and included in advertising and social media promoting BridgeFest.Local clubs, theaters, museums, restaurants and other venues are invited to submit ideas for events celebrating folk & jazz music and the musical heritage of Newport. Artists interested in being a part of BridgeFest need to find a local venue to present them. Inquiries received from Artists will be passed on to participating venues for consideration. Event submission deadline is June 15, 2016. Accepted events will be asked to sign a license agreement and will be required to submit proof of insurance coverage naming BridgeFest and Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc. as additional insured. Events can be free or paid admission and must take place in Newport County between Monday July 25th and Thursday July 28th. Applicants will be notified within five business days if their event has been accepted.
